Summing up and planning for the future
Exercises overview
You have up till now been engaged in the following exercises
- Exercise 1.
- Search the web for background material in the start-up phase of your project (meta-sites collection)
- Plan what IT resources you could need to support your project work
- Exercise 2.
- Design and build a database which will contain information about
projects during semester 6 (spring 1998)
- Exercise 3.
- Design and start building 'your project on the web'
- Exercise 4.
- Make an E-R (Entity-Relationship) diagram for the Sem6 'project database'.
- Exercise 5.
- Structured Query Language, SQL, exercise.
- Exercise 6.
- Prepare your computer to run VRML, video etc. (Plug-in installations).

Feed-Back and continued work on 'your project on the web'

Dyamic and interactive graphical presentation of your project on the web. (Animated GIF, Quik Time VR).
- Exercise 9.
Planning the 'semester 6' group intranets.
Four groups have decided to install a hub in their project group rooms and connect two or more computers to the hub.
You will need to aquire a TCP/IP number for each connected computer from Finn Ullits.
In this case your Intranet is physically limited to one room. You should
disregard this fact whn you use it to prepare for the real life situation
where the computers connected to the intranet can be physically spread.
During the rest of the semester you should contact Per Christiansson or Poul-Henning Kirkegaard in connection with using IT-support in your project work.
Get familiar with using the feed-back and discussion functions.
