CID and IT

Summary
  • A rapid major society change process is taking place due to IT introduction. (from 'art of printing' to 'art of communication')

  • The building community must and will actively participate in the design, try out, and implementation of IT tools to support high quality building products in a life cycle perspective.

  • The client and building product users will get greater influences in the design process.

  • IT will strongly support collaborative work and integration of resourses external to the project .

  • CID will provide mechanisms to capture and translate client requirements more efficiently, and for definition of properties of multimedia access for design team to shared work space

  • IT will give us opportunities to build and try out digital Virtual Buildings and thus increase the quality of the final products.

  • IT-tools will give substantial contribution to knowledge transfer and demontrations of CID (and other) results. We also expect to use IT tools collaboration in support of the actual CID research work (Aalborg, Aarhus,...).
